If you're not familiar with Tax Freedom Day, it's the day in the calendar year (starting Jan. 1) that average Americans will have paid off their taxes. On my other blogs, like Donut Freedom Day, I've broken down the costs of our recently waning obsession with donuts into a freedom day.
Apparently, though some people might not like it, we're paying more for the war in Iraw than we are for donuts. With an estimated 12 billion dollars per month (see estimate's source), our Iraq War Freedom Day is Jan 5 at about noon.
